Join us at Fig Jam! What is it? Fig Jam, launched by Mayor Garcetti’s office, is a community event designed to help re-imagine neighborhood centers. By drawing attention to the street’s rich past, FIG JAM works to help residents reclaim streets as public spaces. On March 19th, starting at 10am head on down to North Figueroa street in Highland Park and Los Angeles and join your community to participate in the utilization of these city streets as they are converted into social and urban spaces. Some of the improvements include a living museum, temporary street changes to promote safer public transportation, and a revival of the city’s history. This is a free one day event and a great way to network and become an active member of your community!
