4 Hacks For Small Garden Spaces

Some of us are huge plant lovers, and need them all around us and everywhere we go. But, sometimes it’s tough to find the proper space and give it the proper care it needs. These easy and clever hacks will help you keep and maintain them, whether it’s on your kitchen counter, window sill, or workspace.

1. Coffee Filter Soil Catcher

Everyone knows that the best pots are those with pre-drilled holes for drainage, but we’ve all encountered an issue with that… The dirt flows out of the holes when you water it! Line your pot with a coffee filter to keep your soil where it’s supposed to be, in the pot!

2. DIY Mini Greenhouse

Are you having issues getting your seedlings started in your small space? Making a mini greenhouse on your own window sill is fast and simple. You can either remove the label and the bottom off of a 2 liter bottle of soda and just place it over you plant, or you can use a salad box as a pot and plant your seeds in there.

3. Coffee Cup to Water Plants

Don’t have anything small enough to use as a water can for your counter or office plants? Use a to-go coffee cup. The opening is perfect for water control to avoid messes.

4. Tiny Seed Starters from Trash

Need small seed starters for your counters or window sills. All you need is trash! Things like empty egg shells, toilet paper rolls, and lemon and orange peels will do the trick. Once your seeds sprout, you can transfer and plant the whole thing into a pot!
