Monsterpalooza at the Pasadena Convention Center!
Last weekend, some of our team’s bravest attended this year’s Monsterpalooza, held locally at the Pasadena Convention center. For Halloween horror buffs, this is the ultimate horror convention. Come dressed up as your own terrifying creature or walk the convention as you are and witness horror aficionados and creative professionals bring their scariest creatures to life. In addition to attendees in costume, this show also hosts over a hundred exhibitors and vendors presenting live makeup demonstrations and showcasing some of the most amazing special effects on the market.
Take a step back in time and revisit makeup and costume concepts from some of the most classic cult films in horror. Or take a peek into the future with the industries state of the art special effects and get a taste for what’s to come. You just never know who or what you’ll run into at Monsterpalooza. From groups of fans running around in costumes and make-up to celebrities holding meet and greets, to a monster museum exhibit, there is a lot to stir the imagination.
Actors, screenwriters, and special effects artists from the horror film genre present innovating and terrifying ideas for the future and behind the scene insights from previous works. For the classic film buff, this is the perfect opportunity to get insight into some the films that terrified you as a child. See just what it takes to make the monsters of your nightmares come together.
