Carnegie Observatories invites you to come celebrate the wonders of astronomy- past, present, and future! Their 14th annual open house is on Sunday, October 18, 2015 from 2:00 – 5:00pm. Come by to meet their astronomers and learn about their discoveries at the frontiers of science today. You will get to see amazing photos from Las Campanas, Carnegie’s state-of-the-art
observatory in Chile, see how instruments are made for their telescopes in Chile, view the sun through a solar telescope and tour the historic Hale Library and learn about the pioneering achievements of Carnegie scientists for more than a century. Be sure to bring your questions about the Universe to the “Ask the Astronomer” table. There will also be refreshments and music in the
beautiful outdoor courtyard.
