With everyone going a little stir crazy despite all attempts, it’s tough to keep motivated and moving forward. But, these easy and inexpensive upgrades will put you in a productive mood, and the end results will be very satisfying.
1. Paint Job
This will be the most impactful change. To get a nice smooth finish you’ll need to do a light sand, and possibly some patching, but all together, this should add up to no more than about $60.
2. Accent Wall
Show off some of your bold personality with a statement wall. Whether it’s a fun wallpaper pattern, or a painted pattern, it will add an up-lifting vibe in your home.
3. Rearranging Furniture
A new home layout holds a ton of exciting possibilities. Maybe that “guest room” that has never been used could be used as an office with that lovely desk that’s been getting dusty in the corner. Or, it could be used a play or theater room. The possibilities are endless!
4. Change or Paint Moldings
These tiny accents are often overlooked. And because they are so close to the floor, they take quite a bit of damage and dust, so a quick replacement or fresh coat of paint will make you feel a lot better!
5. Change Hardware
Like moulding, door handles, hardware like drawer and door handles and knobs take a beating, so replacing them will have a refreshing feeling.
This is a great start, but we know once you get started with these, it’ll be hard not to move on to the next (because there’s always something!). Happy quarantining!
Stay safe friends!
