As some of us continue daily life during this quarantine, it seems as though the shut downs and closures are “not that bad”. Descanso Gardens

Descanso Gardens is a year-round retreat of natural beauty, internationally renowned botanical collections and seasonal horticultural displays. Ernst Debs Park

Located in Northeast LA, Earnest E. Debs regional Park is a local favorite. It is located at the top of the hill on 4235 Monterey Road, Los Angeles, CA 90032, and it includes a kid’s playground, many picnic and grilling areas (both closed off due to the pandemic), a lengthy hiking trail (some of it is paved, providing a little comfort during your hike!) , and most importantly, a beautiful lake located at the top, providing an amazing environment for turtles and fish, all with a view of Downtown LA as the backdrop. The Huntington Library, Art Museum, and Botanical Gardens 

The Huntington Library, located in San Marino, has beautiful gardens that cover about 120 acres, perfect for disconnecting from the world for a little bit. Musch Trail to Eagle Rock 

If you just need another hiking trail to explore near you, try the Musch Trail to Eagle Rock, located in Topanga Canyon, It the loop runs about 4.5 miles longs, and you can even find some roadside art pieces! Enjoy the mountain views, rock formations, and the tons of wild life you’ll be surrounded by.
